How long have you been taking photographs?
Since I was 21.
Thoughts about first images ever taken, describe them?
I remember the first film. I got it from a friend, Ilford XP2 400asa 35mm Black & White Film 24-Exposure. It was almost all overexposed, but I was very excited about the whole thing!
What do you see when you look at your work now?
Well, it’s my diary, visual diary, since I don’t write one. An accumulation of past moments that in total turns to be like a memory.
What do you hope others will see, if anything? Their experience?
I really don’t know. I hope that my photos have an emotional impact on the viewer.
What do you look for in an image? What makes a great photograph for you?
I photograph everything that I find intersting for some reason. As I said, it’s a kind of diary, and I photograph usual, ordinary things in my everyday life, my frends and family, their gestures and movements, anything that emotionally touches me in some way.
That is a tough question to answer. A strong emotional feeling! I think that a great photo needs to have a capacity to provoke the viewer. Photographs that reveal something about the perception of subject are more interesting to me than the ones that merely record the subject.

Talk about the different sides of your work, the indoor, outdoor, the sexiness of many images?
Huh, that’s a hard question. I never thought about it in that way. I think I feel different kind of emotions and inspiration when I’m making photos outside or inside. Nature by itself is breathtaking and I don’t feel the need to add anything more.
Like the picture of the valley in the first series?
That’s photo of completely exposed nature, which I admire. It looks a bit vulnerable, and on the other so powerful! On the other hand, for me, intimacy goes with the indoors. And I’m looking to catch an intimate moment of a person. I think that the third group of shots keeps these two in balance.
So where do you want to take your photography?
Right now I’m thinking about some antique interior apartment which is not bright enough.
